Snowman Cards

McGill Paper Punches:

Additional Supplies:
     -Basic Grey Pattern Paper
     -Bazzill Cardstock
     -Kraft Cardstock 
     -Queen and Company Pearls
     -Glue Dots Pop Dots  
     -Glue Dots Ultra Thin Glue Dots
     -Twine

Project Instructions:
  • Trim Kraft Cardstock to 8.5"x5.5" and fold in half to create your card base.
  • Trim Pattern Paper to 4"x5.25" and adhere to center of card base.
  • Punch 5 Snowman from Dimensional Snowman punch out of Bazzill Cardstock White. Punch a hat in black, Arms in kraft, Heart in pink pattern paper and snowflake in blue Bazzill Cardstock. 
  • Adhere 4 plain snowman to the card as shown
  • Assemble the last snowman with punched out parts and adhere to center of card with Glue Dots Pop Dots.
  • Wrap Twine around card and tie in a bow.
  • Embellish with Queen and Company pearls and gems.

     -92022L Tree Dimensional Punch

Additional Supplies:
     -Basic Grey Pattern Paper
     -Bazzill Cardstock
     -Kraft Cardstock 
     -Queen and Company Pearls and Gems
     -Glue Dots Ultra Thin Glue Dots

Project Instructions:
  • Trim Kraft Cardstock to 8.5"x5.5" and fold in half to create your card base.
  • Trim Pattern Paper to 4"x5.25" and adhere to center of card base.
  • Trim 3 different Pattern Papers to 4"x3" tear along one edge of each. Adhere to card as shown. 
  • Punch Snowman from Dimensional Snowman punch out of Bazzill Cardstock White. Punch a hat in black, Arms in kraft. 
  • Assemble snowman with punched out parts and adhere to card.
  • Punch Tree from Dimensional Tree Punch with Kraft paper and adhere to card as shown.
  • Embellish with Queen and Company pearls and gems.

Simple Thank You Card

     -95901 1.5 Square Stacking Punch
     -65800 Tool Kit

Additional Supplies:
     -My Minds Eye Six By Six Happier 6 x 6 Paper Pad
     -Cream Cardstock
     -Peach Cardstock
     -Green Card Stock
     -Papertrey Ink Inside Out Thank You
     -Beacon's 3 - 1 Adhesive
     -Beacon's Fabric Tax


Creating the Azalea:

Project Instructions:
  • Create Azalea with the instructions above. Once done set it aside
  • Trim cream cardstock to 11" x 4 1/4". Score at 5 1/2 and fold.
  • Cut patterned paper to 5 1/4" x 4". Adhere to card base.
  • Cut a coordinating piece of patterned paper to 3" x 4". Adhere to the bottom half of the first patterned paper.
  • With the Fancy Square Punch, punch an additional piece of coordinating patterned paper and adhere to the middle of the card front
  • On a strip of coordinating patterned paper, stamp sentiment and punch one end of the strip in a flag shape with square punch. Adhere to the center of the Fancy Square shape
  • Embellish with a McGill Azalea.

Season's Greetings Card

McGill Paper Punches: 
     -95903 2.5" Square Stacking Punch 

Additional Supplies:
     -Brown Cardstock
     -My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found Collection - Blush
     -Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip Ink
     -Papertrey Ink Edgers 3 Die
     -Papertrey Ink
     -Recollection Gems 

Creating the Poinsettia:
             click for full printable pdf

Project Instructions:
  • Create Poinsettia as instructed above.  Add glitter to edges and set aside for glitter to set.
  • Cut brown cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 5 1/2. Fold in half to create your card base
  • Cut patterned paper to 4 1/2 by 3 3/4.
  • Cut another piece of patterned paper to 2 1/2 by 3 3/4. Adhere to the bottom of the first piece of patterned paper. Die cut one end with the edgers die.
  • Stamp sentiment on the bottom of the patterned paper.
  • Cut a strip of patterned paper to 2 x 5. Using the Square punch at an angle, punch the ends of the strip and adhere to the card.
  • Embellish with the glittered McGill Poinsettia.

Creating the Poinsettia:

  • Glitter the inside of your ornament
  • Create Poinsettia as instructed above.  Adhere to Ornament
  • Punch out 2-3 Pine Branches and adhere to ornament
  • Embellish the Poinsettia with Gems
  • Tie a bow around the ornament. 
  • Add ribbon to the top of the ornament to hang on your tree.

Christmas Tag featuring The Pine Cone

     -65900 Molding Mat

Additional Supplies:
 
     -Bo Bunny Blitzen Card Stock 
     -Ranger Ink Kraft Tag 
     -Tim Holtz Distress Ink 
     -Ranger Paint Dabber - Snow Cap 
     -Tim Holtz Distress Stickles 
     -Ranger Foil Sheet 
     -Teresa Collins Lace Ribbon 
     -Seam Binding 
     -Swarovski Crystals 
     -Beacon's Fabric Tac Adhesive 
     -Beacon's 3 in 1 Adhesive 

Creating the Pine Cone:

Project Instructions:
  • Create small Pine Cones as instructed above.
  • Edge Pine Cone with Ranger Paint Dabber in Snow Cap. Add Distress Stickles to the edges. Set aside to dry. 
  • Trim Pattern paper to fit Kraft Tag and adhere together. Punch hole in top of tag.  
  • Ink the edges of the tag with Distress Inks  
  • Adhere Pine Cones to the bottom of the tag.  
  • Punch several Pine Branches, edge with Ranger Paint Dabber in Snow Cap. Once dry
  • Tuck the Pine Branches around the Pines Cones, after dipping into adhesive.  
  • Adhere Foil Sheet to card stock and punch out Alpine Snowflakes and Flourishes. Adhere to the tag.  
  • Glue crystal to the tag with Beacon's Fabric Tac.  
  • Tie bow to the top of the tag

Holiday Card featuring the Poinsettia

      -Bo Bunny Father Christmas Patterned Paper Collection
      -Bazzill Card Stock
      -Stampendous Postal Pair Stamp
      -Spellbinders Die
      -Copics
      -Distress Inks
      -Stickles
      -Recollections Pearls
      -Beacons 3 in 1 Adhesive
      -Beacons Fabric Tac

Creating the Poinsettia:
           click for full printable pdf

Project Instructions:
  • Cut Cardstock to 5 1/2 by 8 1/2. Score at 4 1/4 and fold in half.
  • Cut Pattern Paper to 5 1/4 by 4. Wrap seam binding around the front of the Pattern paper and adhere on the back side. Tie a bow and adhere with Beacons Fabric Tac Adhesive.
  • Stamp image on cardstock. Die cut your image for a decorative edge. 
  • Color your image with Distress Inks, markers or water colors. Adhere to card with Pop Dots Adhere Poinsettia following the instructions above.
  • Embellish your Poinsettia with glitter and pearls.

Ornament

McGill Paper Punches:
     -95921 1.5" Circle Stacking Punch

Additional Supplies:
     -Vintage Book pages
     -Vintage Glitter Glass
     -Vintage Tinsel
     -Pearl Beads
     -Jump Rings
     -Crystal dangle
     -Glossy Accents
     -Beacon 3 in 1

Project Instructions:
  • With McGill 1.5" Stacking Circle Punch punch out 7 Circles from Vintage Paper.
  • Fold each circle in half.
  • Adhere each circle half to another circle half with a dab of glue on top and bottom to create a pocket for the bead to sit in.This will create your ornament.
  • Adhere 7 Pearls to the openings in the circles.
  • Trim Vintage Tinsel to approx 6" and slide down the center of the ornament.
  • Apply Glossy Accents to the edges and dip into Vintage Glitter Glass.
  • Loop the bottom end of the Tinsel and add a jump ring and secure your dangle. Twist the Tinsel so it's secure. 
  • Loop the top of the Tinsel and add a jump ring and twist Tinsel secure.

You can use the McGill 1" Stacking Circle punch to create a smaller ornament and connect the two together with a few jump rings or you can even create them bigger with the McGill 2" and 2.5" Stacking Circles.

These are so easy to create that you can also string these on ribbon, yarn etc. to create a chain or garland for your tree, mantle etc.

Snowman Card

Additional Supplies:
     -Basic Grey Pattern Papers
     -Bazzill Cardstock
     -Kraft Cardstock 
     -Queen and Company Gems
     -Glue Dots Pop Dots  
     -Beacon 3-1 Adhesive 

Project Instructions:
  • Trim Kraft Cardstock to 8.5"x5.5" and fold in half to create your card base.
  • Trim Pattern Paper to 4"x5.25" and adhere to center of card base.
  • Trim Pattern Paper to 4"x2.5" and tear along one long edge. Adhere to bottom of card base.
  • Punch Snowman from Dimensional Snowman pucnh out of Bazzill Cardstock in 4 different colors using the correct colors to assemble.  Punch out 3 Pattern Paper hearts.
  • Punch Ice Cream from Dimensional Ice Cream punch out of the same Pattern Paper Hearts and use the smaller scoop as a hat for snowman.
  • Assemble Snowman as shown on the card.  Adhere to card with Glue Dots Pop Dots. 
  • Punch Trees from Dimensional Tree Punch. Adhere both of them onto the card as shown.  
  • Embellish snowman with punched hearts and gems.

Snowman Gift Card Holder

McGill Paper Punches:
     -92097L Snowman Dimensional Punch 

Additional Supplies:
     -Holiday Papers
     -White card stock 
     -Black card stock
     -Orange card stock
     -Kraft card stock
     -White Uni-ball Gel Pen (for eyes) 
     -Coordinating blue patterned paper
     -Papertrey Ink Seed Packet Die (Gift Card Holder)
     -Glue Pen
     -Beacon's 3 -1 Adhesive
     -Pop Dots
     -Glitter 

Project Instructions:

  1. Die cut and assemble Gift Card Holder
  2. Punch Snowman in white, blue, orange, kraft and black cardstock and assemble Snowman and embellish.
  3. Free hand the snow drifts.
  4. Add glue with glue pen to the edges of the snowman and snow drifts and add glitter.
  5. Attach the snow drifts and the Snowman to the front of the Gift Card Holder.  Pop Dots can be used to adhere to the Snowman.

Glove/Mitten Ornaments featuring the Pine Cone.

Creating the Pinecone:

Project Instructions:
  • Take a pair of knitted gloves or mittens and sew them together. Attach a twine loop onto the back of the gloves, so that they can be hung on a Christmas Tree.
  • Create Pine Cone as instructed above.
  • Embellish gloves with a bow, McGill Pine Cone, Pine branches and the Dimensional Tree Branch.

Vintage Santa Card featuring the Poinsettia

McGill Paper Punches:

Additional Supplies:
     -Authentique Patterned Paper
     -Kraft Cardstock
     -Vintage Santa Image
     -Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Walnut Stain) 
     -Queen and Company Pearls
     -Sparkly yarn
     -Papertrey Ink Edgers Die
     -Beacons Fabric Tac Adhesive

Creating the Poinsettia:

Project Instructions:
  • Trim Kraft Cardstock to 8.5"x5.5" fold in half to create your card base. 
  • Trim Pattern Paper to 4"x5.25" Ink edges and adhere to center of card. 
  • Trim Kraft Cardstock to 4"x3" Ink edges.
  • Print or Stamp an Image that is approx 3.5"x2.5". Adhere or Stamp to the center of Kraft Cardstock. Wrap the bottom with Sparkly yarn and adhere to center of card. 
  • Create Poinsettia with How to instructions above and adhere to card.
  • Embellish the Poinsettia with 3 pearls or gems.
